Raymond Koekemoer

I started reading about healthy aging in my twenties. At fifty-four, my body still caught me off guard: painful constipation, constant dryness, headaches that wouldn’t shift, and fine lines that seemed to deepen overnight, even though I was drinking plenty of water.

What helped wasn’t more water. It was warmth, rhythm, and a little gentle fat, the quiet principles of Ayurveda I had first met in the early 2000s, together with a better understanding of how the body actually uses fluid. I’m not a doctor. I write from decades of study, trying things on myself, and watching what happens, and I share it in plain language. Please treat my books as education, not medical advice. How I check what I publish.

And yes, at fifty-four, I still skate.
