How I check what I publish

Last updated: 11 October 2026

I’m Raymond, 54. I’m not a doctor. I write from decades of study, trying things on myself, and watching what happens. This page explains what that means for everything you read or watch here.

Three kinds of statement

Whatever I write or say is one of three things, and I try to make clear which one it is.

  • Tradition. What Ayurveda and traditional Chinese practice have taught for a very long time, such as favoring warm drinks and cooked food. Long use counts for a good deal with me, and I name the tradition when I lean on it.
  • My own experience. What I tried and what happened to me. I mark it with words like “in my experience” or “I cannot prove it.” What helped me may not suit you.
  • Research. What studies and official health bodies report. I say where the evidence is strong and where it is thin. Simple, free habits attract little research money, so “little studied” is not the same as “disproven,” and it is not the same as “proven” either.

What I check before publishing

  • Every sentence that begins with “I” is true of me. I read each one before it goes out.
  • Numbers, such as daily fluid figures, are traced to where they come from, and the article or book says so.
  • Each article ends with a list of the published sources behind the research and official figures it mentions, and key passages carry a small label: Tradition, My experience, or Research.
  • Every piece that suggests a change of routine says when to see a doctor first.
  • I cook the recipes in my own kitchen, and I often retest and update them as they develop there. What I learn goes into the next update of the book.

What I never do

  • I never suggest changing, stopping, or re-timing a prescribed medicine.
  • I never tell anyone to avoid their doctor. If something here and your doctor disagree, your doctor knows you and I do not.
  • I never promise a cure, and I do not say a common habit is harmful without support for it.

How the writing is made

I use several AI platforms and tools to help me draft, edit, and check my writing, and to make the illustrations and animations. I set at least two of them to check each other’s work, back and forth, and then I read, test, and edit everything myself before it is published under my name. The experience, the choices, and the final word are mine.
