Terms of sale

These terms cover books and courses bought directly from this website. They are written to be read, so please do.

The store on this website is being prepared. These terms apply from its first sale.

Who you are buying from

The books and courses are published by Raymond Koekemoer, trading as The Hydrated Gut Project, in South Africa. Orders placed on this website will be processed by an online reseller, named here when the store opens, which is the merchant of record: it takes the payment, adds any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live, and sends your receipt. Its name will appear on your receipt and may appear on your card statement.

What you receive

Books bought here are digital files to download. After payment, a download link is shown on screen and sent to the email address you gave at checkout. Nothing is posted to you. If the email does not arrive within an hour, check your spam folder, then write to info@thehydratedgut.com.

Printed books are sold through Amazon and other bookstores, not through this website.

Prices and tax

Prices are shown in US dollars and are kept the same as in the bookstores. Any sales tax or VAT is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay. Your bank may add its own currency conversion charge.

How you may use what you buy

Your purchase is for your own personal use. You may keep the file on your own devices and print pages for yourself. Please do not resell it, share the file or the download link, or post it online. All text and images remain the copyright of The Hydrated Gut Project.

Refunds

If a purchase is not right for you, ask within 14 days and you will be refunded in full. The details are in the refund policy.

Educational material, not medical advice

Everything sold here is for general education. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment, and it is no substitute for your own doctor. Please read the medical disclaimer before you buy, and the Know Your Limits section in your book before you begin.

If something goes wrong

If a file will not open, a link has expired, or you were charged in error, write to info@thehydratedgut.com and it will be put right.

Your legal rights

These terms are governed by the law of South Africa. Nothing in them takes away any right you have under the consumer protection law of the country where you live.

Books bought elsewhere

Books bought from Amazon or any other bookstore are covered by that store’s own terms and refund rules, not by this page.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date. The terms in force on the day you bought apply to your purchase.
